Brag Tags & Science Trivia (Volume 2)
Hello my fellow pedagogues. The Granger-2 crew and I are descending through the Earth’s upper atmosphere at nearly mach 25. It’s what KB-23 calls, “the fiery descent of death”, what turns K-2L5 three shades of metallic, and what inspired the poem after which Atmo is named.
While we’re descending I need your help. Miss Tonks has spied some of your students doing some good, positive things. Things worth bragging about. Behaviors we want to promote and have fun doing it.
What better way to do that then by awarding Prof E & Ellie’s Middle School of Science Brag Tags!
WHAT’S INCLUDED?
1. Volume 2 of Prof E & Ellie’s Middle School of Science Brag Tags includes twelve new double sided cards--cards thirteen through twenty-four. There are six of the same card per page.
2. The front side of each card recognizes a unique behavior...like ‘Great Game Changing Generosity’, and ‘Heroic Hallowed Honesty’. Each tag includes a fun, unique comic conversation between two Granger-2 crew members, and a QR code that when scanned reveals how students can demonstrate the promoted behavior. Great for driving conversations about specific behaviors you want to promote.
3. If you choose to print the cards double-sided then you have two options.
a. Option one is a fun six question science trivia questionairre. Each card includes a five question review of random middle school science topics. Question six is a random science fiction trivia question from some of Prof E’s favorite books, movies and tv shows. The associated QR code reveals the answers, and then asks additional questions related to the topic. These are fun by themselves, and great for review games--really lend themselves to Jeopardy type games. “I’ll take card 15 for 300 Prof E.”
b. Option two is a choice of fill in the comic conversation bubbles. Write your student a message, or let them get creative and create their own.
4. I like to print the cards on card stock, but regular paper works too. If desired you can laminate whole pages then cut them out. I prefer to cut them out, then laminate.
Let’s award some Brag Tags!!!! And if you’re looking for some other ways to encourage positive behavior check out my notes on the next page.
Have fun...Prof E
